Owner/developer FilBen Group (Rye Brook, N.Y.) and private equity firm RSF Partners (Dallas) broke ground on the $54 million Braemar at Montebello in Montebello, N.Y.

Situated on 6.2 acres, the 133,675-square-foot luxury assisted living community will have room for 200 residents.

The four-story project will include a 1,200 square-foot pub and game room, café, business lounge, general store, arts and crafts room, family lounge with adjacent kids’ room, beauty salon, fitness and wellness centers, and coffee shop.

The project team includes H2M Architects + Engineers (design; Melville, N.Y.), McAlpine Contracting (general contractor; New York, N.Y.), Booker Engineering (engineer; Suffern, N.Y.), Robert G. Torgersen LA (landscape designer; Nanuet, N.Y.); Fellenzer Engineering LLP (MEP; Middletown, N.Y.), and Mulhern+Kulp Residential Structural Engineering (structural engineer; Ambler, Pa.).


The assisted living community is scheduled to open in 2024.
