2024 EFA Conference + Expo
The 2024 Environments for Aging Conference + Expo, held April 13-16 in Atlanta, featured a robust expo hall displaying new products and services specifically for senior living environments.

Levanté, Hallmark Building Supplies
Levanté architectural aluminum boards, available in 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch widths, from Hallmark Building Supplies feature the look of wood without the maintenance natural wood requires. The parts come in a variety of shades and can be combined to create privacy fences, façades, cladding, pergolas, and soffits. The material is 100 percent recyclable.
Fall Defense, Viconic Health
Addressing the issue of falls in senior living, Viconic Health’s Fall Defense is a patented, shock-absorbing flooring underlay that’s designed to reduce the impact of fall-related injuries. The material is compatible with a host of flooring options, including carpet and luxury vinyl tile. Additionally, Fall Defense provides sound transmission and comfort underfoot for staff.
Curt, Alva Lighting
Alva Lighting’s Curt interior wall sconce for interior resident room entries combines a much-needed light for safety and an identifying unit number. With a fresh, contemporary design, the unit can be customized with various font and Braille types and an optional photo pocket to hold an image of a resident, family members, or the front door of their former home.
Forage carpet tile collection, Patcraft
The soothing, nature-inspired patterns of Patcraft‘s new Forage carpet tile collection are inspired by the designer’s process of stamping and drawing with mushrooms. The line is available in four textural styles, including a large-scale motif and small-scale textural designs, and nine earthy colors; tiles measure 18 by 36 inches.
Palma Arm Chair Vinyl, Gabby & Summer Classics
Designed to elevate outdoor areas, Gabby & Summer Classics’ Palma Arm Chair Vinyl is made from N-dura Resin Wicker, an ultraviolet-resistant natural woven resin. The chair’s heavy-gauge, steel-reinforced aluminum legs and frame feature a striated wood look that doesn’t rust, while the marine-grade vinyl upholstered seat is moisture-resistant.
Ropox SupportLine, Procare Innovations
Procare Innovations’ Ropox SupportLine washbasin is designed to be height adjustable from 10-11.5 inches from a fixed point and can slide sideways 13 3/4 inches, allowing the user to place the basin where they want it. The flexible increased space can better accommodates wheelchair users. The washbasin includes solid, integrated, ergonomic grab rails for support and comes in motorized and manual models.
Getaway Collection, Mayer Fabrics
Mayer Fabrics’ indoor/outdoor Getaway Collection of upholstery fabrics includes four patterns inspired by resort locations: Amalfi, Belize, Riviera, and Tulum. The Belize design (shown in top row) offers a stylish bouclé weave and is free of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances. The line includes a stain-repellent finish and is bleach cleanable.
Laser-cut panels, Lightwave Laser
Lightwave Laser offers laser-cut decorative panels in 230 patterns and standard and custom sizes. The panels can be made of steel, aluminum, and wood veneer materials and used for wall partitions, ceilings, window coverings, and signage. The panels allow light and visibility from other areas and give the space a feeling of being separate yet connected.
