The Village on Morehead, a new 12-story independent living community, has opened in Charlotte, N.C.
The project features 19 floor plan options, including one- to three-bedroom units with a den to penthouses with more than 2,000 square feet of living space.
Design features at the luxury senior living community include high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, with designer kitchens, walk-in closets, and large balconies accessed through glass doors in each residence. Common areas contemporary furnishings with crisp coastal colors and designer accents, according to a release.
Resort-style amenities include a large outdoor terrace, bocce court, and outdoor kitchen and living room.
James Gray, founder and CEO of The Aspenwood Company (Houston), the developer and property management firm on the project, said in the release that the firm researched locations for three years before breaking ground on the project.
The Aspenwood Company has 20 senior communities in its portfolio, including four that it acquired from Anthology Senior Living (Chicago) this month in North Texas:
- The Village on the Park Plano, with 92 assisted living apartments;
- The Village on the Park Denton, with 75 assisted living units and 32 memory care units;
- The Village on the Park Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, with 75 assisted living units and 32 memory care units; and
- The Village on the Park McKinney, with 40 assisted living units and 20 memory care units.
