Marlin and Doris Thomas Memory Care Center Breaks Ground In Willow Street, Pennsylvania

The center will be part of Willow Valley Communities and is expected to open in 2025.

Willow Valley Communities, a 55+ senior living community in Willow Street, Pa., broke ground on a new memory care center, according to the website yahoo.com.

Situated on 7 acres, The Marlin and Doris Thomas Memory Center will comprise 14 households with 10 private bedrooms constructed around a commons building.

The memory center will also include a Brain Tech Center,  which will aim to further research through self-assessment brain games, self-guided education, brain-healthy meals, and a resource center.

Also planned are a grocery store, bakery, ice cream shop, restaurant, dance and fitness studio, meditation room, salon and spa, performance stage, greenhouse, and outdoor courtyard.

Nord Architects (Copenhagen, Denmark) is the architect on the project, which is slated to open in 2025.

The Center will be designed to support individuals with neurodegenerative diseases and include specialized programming, research, prevention, assessment, treatment, and education.
