Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority Tops Out Senior Living Project In North Carolina

The $120 million Tsali Care Center is adjacent to a hospital and will replace an existing facility.

Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority (CIHA; Cherokee, N.C.) celebrated the topping out of the 135,000-square-foot Tsali Care Center, a skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care community in Cherokee.

The facility, dedicated to the care of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, will replace an existing facility approximately three miles away.

Situated adjacent to Cherokee Indian Hospital, the two-story Tsali Care Center will include 120 private rooms, five courtyards, communal dining spaces, and a dialysis center.

The $120 million project is slated for completion in 2024.

The project team includes McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture (architect: Charlotte, N.C.), and Robins & Morton (construction; Birmingham, Ala.),
