The Village of Harmony Hill assisted living and memory care community has opened in Watertown, S.D., by Benedictine Sisters at the Mother of God Monastery.
The new community is the first stage of a multiphased mixed-use project that will develop 500 acres into intergenerational housing, retail/commercial, educational, and recreational space.
The senior living community houses 48 assisted living units and 16 units memory care units.
Future plans include The Village Commons comprising 70,000 square feet of amenities open to residents and the public. The commons will include a pool with therapy features, rehabilation and therapy/exercise spaces, health clinic, spa and hair salon, café, pub, restaurant, creative arts spaces, library, media room/theater, chapel, and multipurpose meeting rooms.
The project team includes Plunkett Raysich Architects LLP (planner, architect, and interior designer; Milwaukee) and Catalyst Construction (construction; Milwaukee).
