Nonprofit senior living community The Ohio Eastern Star Home broke ground on an independent living neighborhood on its campus in Mount Vernon, Ohio, according to the website knoxpages.com.
Situated on 60 acres, the 96-unit Pine Hill independent living neighborhood will have 40 one- and two-bedroom apartment units and 56 condominiums. Some condominiums will have an attached garage and range in size from approximately 800 square feet to 1,200 square feet.
The $25 million project will also add walking paths, a pond, and restaurant- and bistro-style dining.
The apartments are scheduled to open in fall 2024 and the condominiums are expected to open by early 2026.
