Coterie Cathedral Hill, California
Atria Senior Living (Louisville, Ky.) and Related Companies (New York) have partnered to deliver Coterie Cathedral Hill to San Francisco’s Cathedral Hill neighborhood.
With the opening in March 2022, the 209-unit luxury community includes independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
With the goal to provide a holistic approach to wellness, residents have access to programs curated by experts at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.), including tailored nutrition plans and a fitness center. Through a partnership with dementia care firm CaringKind (New York), Coterie will offer dementia treatment as well as in-house tools, training modules, staff, and family coaching.
Architecture firm Handel Architects (New York) and interior design firm March & White Design (New York, Los Angeles, and London) designed Coterie.
Bay Area design inspiration
Inspired by the Bay Area lifestyle, a warm color palette and modern decor blend together to create spaces that foster interaction, learning, leisure, and relaxation.
Coterie’s memory care neighborhood, specifically, features smart technology with automated shades and circadian lighting to simulate sunlight patterns that help regulate residents’ natural rhythm, energy levels, productivity, and sleep quality.
Residents at the 270,000-square-foot community have access to amenities including a roof-top pool and garden, spa and salon, cinema, library, private dining room and lounge, and on-site medical facilities.
