Arden Rose Senior Living opened an assisted living community in the small-house model in Lake in the Hills, Ill., according to the website shawlocal.com.
The senior living community can house up to 16 residents and includes a beauty shop, exercise room, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy areas.
Two more small-house models are under construction, including at least one dedicated to memory care, and are slated for completion within the next year.
