Benchmark Senior Living (Waltham, Mass.) announced a $13 million renovation project to modernize the 30-year-old Evans Park at Newton Corner, an assisted living and memory care community in Newton, Mass.
The project will update resident units and dining spaces. Additionally, new amenity spaces will be added, including a new bistro, solarium, wellness suite, fitness center, and recreation room, as well as an updated salon.
Independent assisted living units will include modernized kitchenettes with new appliances, newly appointed bathrooms, granite countertops, and new flooring and lighting.
In addition, the fourth-floor memory care units will be enlarged and include bathrooms that can accommodate wheelchairs.
The project team comprises Bechtel Frank Erickson (architect; Lexington, Mass.), Stefura Associates (interior designer; Boston), and South Coast Improvement (general contractor; Marion, Mass.)
The project is expected to be completed in early 2024.
