Samuel F. Vilas Home in Plattsburgh, N.Y., is progressing on an expansion project at the family-owned and operated assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation community, according to the website pressrepublican.com.
The two-phase project will deliver a new three-story building built behind the existing Vilas Home, a third-story addition to the current building, and two memory care wings. The project will increase the community’s resident rooms from 42 to up to 109 rooms.
New amenities will include a new lobby, four-season sun porch, and outdoor courtyard featuring a walking loop, shuffleboard court, putting green, and barbeque area.
Phase 1 is slated for completion in May and phase 2 is expected to be completed in 2024.
