Virginia Mixed-used Development Will Include Senior Living Community

The 268,000-square-foot residential project will include 215 units for independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

A senior living community and medical office building will be part of a mixed-use development planned for Alexandria, Va., by real estate developer and investor Trammell Crow Co. (TCC; Dallas), according to an article in Multi-Housing News.

The 383,000-square-foot project will include a 268,000-square-foot senior living community with 215 independent living, assisted living, and memory care units. An adjacent 115,000-square-foot medical office building with 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail are also planned.

TCC is developing the project with real estate firm JM Zell Partners (Washington, D.C.) and real estate investment manager CBRE Global Investors (Washington).

Construction is slated for third quarter 2022 and the project is expected to be completed by the end of  2024.
