Co-developers Confluent Senior Living (owner; Denver) and MorningStar Senior Living (operator; Denver) broke ground on a new assisted living and memory care community in Denver’s Observatory Park neighborhood, according to an article in Mile High CRE.

The five-story, 81-unit MorningStar at Observatory Park will include 58 assisted living units and 23 memory care units. Forty-seven underground parking spaces are also planned.

The community will feature a variety of infection control features, including sanitation stations, touchless faucets and light switches in common spaces, a needlepoint bipolar ionization system, electrostatic sprayers that disperse positively charged particles to neutralize infectious diseases, and antimicrobial countertop surfaces.

The project team includes Hord Coplan Macht (architect; Denver), Thoma-Holec Design (interior designer; Mesa, Ariz.), and Shaw Construction (general contractor; Denver).

The community is slated to open by summer 2022.
