Watermark Retirement Communities (Tucson, Ariz.) has opened The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The 275-unit, 310,000-square-foot community, which is housed in the former Leverich Towers Hotel originally constructed in 1928, includes 145 independent living units, 88 assisted living units, and 42 memory care units, ranging from studios to two-bedroom units.
The project offers 50,000 square feet of amenity space, including an art gallery, three restaurants, a performing arts center, multiple wellness suites, a heated indoor pool, salon and spa, and outdoor roof deck.
The project team includes Montroy DeMarco Architecture (architecture; New York City), Lemay+Escobar Architects (interior designer; New York City ), and Kayne Anderson Real Estate (real estate advisor; Boca Raton, Fla.).
