Lakeview Terrace Adding $29M Expansion

The project includes a new five-story apartment tower, clubhouse, and villas for the 100-acre community.

Lakeview Terrace, an independent, assisted living, and skilled nursing community, in Umatilla, Fla., is undertaking a $29 million expansion project that includes a new five-story, 53,200-square-foot apartment tower, clubhouse, and a 55,800-square-foot villa expansion for the 100-acre community.

The tower will include a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Nine two-story villas will house four units, each with two bedrooms and a screened-in patio terrace. The 29,000-square-foot clubhouse will include a full-service kitchen, bar/lounge area, multiple dining rooms, staff offices, and an auditorium/multipurpose hall.

The project team includes HHCP (architect; Orlando, Fla.); Hoar Construction (construction; Orlando, Fla.); ZHA International (program manager; Orlando, Fla.); R. L. Plowfield and Associates (structural engineering: Winter Springs, Fla.); and RGD Consulting Engineers (MEP; Orlando, Fla.).

The project is expected to be open to residents in fall 2020
