Shannondale, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Knoxville, Tenn., is expanding with the addition of The Lodge at Shannondale, an independent living with assisted living services community.
The craftsman-style lodge will offer one- and two-bedroom floor plans with kitchens ranging from approximately 771 square feet to 1,550 square feet and private balcony or patio space.
Amenities include a fitness and wellness center, an indoor pool, and a Main Street-type concept in the lobby area with dining options and areas for family gatherings and social events. The interior design will be reminiscent of a mountain chalet and include a fireplace.
Cooper Architecture (Knoxville) is the architecture firm on the project and The Christman Company (Knoxville) is handling construction. Project construction is underway, and the community is scheduled to open in winter 2020.
