Construction To Begin On $45 Million Community At Prairie Commons Development

The 200,000-square-foot community in Grand Island, Neb., will feature a bistro café, club lounges, rooftop patios, memory gardens, a library, wellness center, and walking trails.

Tabitha Grand Island, a non-profit senior housing and care provider, plans to build a $45 million senior living community at the Prairie Commons Development, a mixed-used development that includes medical services, housing, and retail, in Grand Island, Neb., according to The Grand Island Independent.

The 200,000-square-foot community, which is expected to be completed in 2021, will have 157 apartments, including 81 independent living units, 20 assisted living, 20 memory care, and 36 for skilled nursing residents.

Tabitha Grand Island is working in partnership with (project development consultant) and Chief Construction (Ravenna, Ohio), the proposed project general contractor.

According to the article, the community will include a full-service kitchen, bistro café, club lounges, rooftop patios, memory gardens, a library, salon, fitness center, wellness center, theater, chapel, community rooms, outdoor yoga, and walking trails.
