Griffin Fine Living has started construction of a Class A, 101-unit senior living community in Simi Valley, Calif.
Canyon Partners Real Estate LLC has provided $10.6 million of preferred equity to finance the ground-up construction project.
Griffin Plaza senior living will include 75 assisted living units and 26 memory care units within its two-story, 100,000-square-foot community. The community will feature a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units.
Large interior common areas will include amenities such as a full-service dining room, coffee and juice bistro, fitness center, salon, arts & crafts and game room, and a theater room.
Solvere Living has been selected as the operator. Construction is anticipated to be completed before the end of 2019.
