Stonegate At Greenburgh Breaks Ground In New York

The $35 million, 90,651-square-foot assisted living and memory care community will offer 101 residential suites and is scheduled to open in 2019.

Capitol Seniors Housing is set to begin construction work on the new Stonegate at Greenburgh in Greenburgh, N.Y.

The $35 million, three-story, 90,651-square-foot assisted living and memory care community, designed by Meyer Design (Ardmore, Pa.), will offer 101 residential suites and will be operated by Northbridge Cos. It will be built on the site of a former retail store that has remained vacant for several years.

Stonegate at Greenburgh will be designed to target Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2019.

The community will feature a variety of amenities such as a bistro featuring an open-concept kitchen area, club room, and library. In addition, there will be a dining room, art studio, salon, multipurpose room, sports lounge, club room, theater, fitness/rehab room and a separate dining room in the memory care area.

Located on 6.89 acres, the community will also offer outdoor spaces including walking paths and garden areas.
