Virginia Health Services Plans Assisted Living Community

<p>Virginia Health Services (<a href="http://www.vahs.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">VHS</a>), a Newport News, Va.-based operator of assisted living, rehabilitation, and retirement communities, has submitted plans to open an assisted living community in Yorktown, Va., <em>The Virginia Gazette</em> <a href="http://www.vagazette.com/news/va-vg-biz-new-assisted-living-facility-yorktown-20161102-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a>.</p>

Virginia Health Services (VHS), a Newport News, Va.-based operator of assisted living, rehabilitation, and retirement communities, has submitted plans to open an assisted living community in Yorktown, Va., The Virginia Gazette reports.

The 41,000-square-foot community, named The Hamilton, would be located on the York Convalescent & Rehabilitation Center campus and is expected to be completed by early 2018 pending approval by the county board of supervisors.

The proposal calls for 40 fully furnished junior and standard one-bedroom apartments for up to 60 residents, a media center, activity room, library and an on-site beauty parlor, according to the article.
