The Woodlands at John Knox Village will celebrate its grand opening in Pompano Beach, Fla., this week. The community represents Florida’s first life plan community Green House project.
The $34 million community is located on a 70-acre campus and includes 144 private home-style suite residences, the Palm Bistro, rehabilitation services, the Rejuvenation Salon & Spa, a wellness center, and the Life Enrichment Center for social gatherings and other occasions.
The layout of the seven-story building includes common and social areas on the main floor with the remaining six floors each housing two Green House homes with 12 private bedroom suites with personal bathrooms surrounding a hearth living room, open kitchen and dining room. Meals are cooked fresh in each home.
The project broke ground in 2014.
The Woodlands at John Knox Village was designed by RDG Planning & Design (Fort Myers, Fla.) and The Weitz Company (Des Moines, Iowa) served as the construction manager.
