Avanti Senior Living has launched plans to build a new seniors housing development in Covington, La., as part of a healthcare campus that will include Ochsner Health Center, a wellness center, professional medical offices, a skilled nursing facility and luxury apartments.

Avanti Senior Living at Covington, which will provide 60 assisted living and 50 memory care units, is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of 2016.

The design will incorporate an abundance of natural light and artwork by local artists. Milton J. Womack Inc., will lead construction of the community.
