Riverwood Retirement Management Inc. has unveiled plans to construct more villas at John Knox Village of Central Florida in Orange City, Fla. To meet increased demand, 40 new duplex villas will be added that will provide seniors with the independent lifestyle they desire.
According to Joe Rudolph, director of planning and development of John Knox Village, the new “Holly” villas will feature 12-foot coffered and tray ceilings throughout the residence, crown molding, French doors, a Roman shower, an open floor plan and unique custom options such as a wet bar, various paint options, and window treatments.
Residents can choose from three-bedroom, two-bath, 1900-square-foot, and two-bedroom, two-bath, 1700-square-foot villas. The units will have high-pitched roofs and front stone features.
John Knox Village will act as the contractor for the entire project. It has a debt-free status which allows flexibility in funding the project without financing from an outside lender. Construction will begin in the next few weeks, and the first resident is expected to move in fall of 2016.
