The Orchard Post-Acute Care Center, a 162-bed skilled nursing facility in Whittier, Calif., has been acquired by Mission Viejo, Calif.-based The Ensign Group, Inc.
An Ensign subsidiary has operated the facility as a subleased facility for nearly 10 years. The acquisition was effective at the end of June.
The Ensign Group, Inc.'s independent operating subsidiaries operate 150 facilities, 12 hospice companies, 14 home health businesses, three home care businesses, and 17 urgent care clinics in California, Arizona, Texas, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Nevada, Iowa, Nebraska, Oregon and Wisconsin.
