Balfour Senior Care recently celebrated with a grand opening ceremony to mark the completion of the $78 million The Balfour at Riverfront Park, reports BusinessDen.com.
Owner Michael Schonbrun developed and converted the former Homewood Hotel into a senior living community. The building is located near theaters, restaurants, museums, and other attractions that seniors can frequent as part of their daily life.
The 205-unit, 275,000-square-foot building has five-story independent living wing with 112 apartments as well as a three-story assisted living and memory care unit with 65 and 28 apartments, respectively.
The assisted living and memory care facilities have not opened yet, however residents are expected to begin moving in this March.
Balfour at Riverfront Park was financed with an investment from AEW Capital and a construction loan from Prudential. The architect is Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Klipp Architecture, and the general contractor is JE Dunn.
