Plaza Cos (Peoria, Ariz.) and Freedom Senior Management (Sarasota, Fla.) plan to remodel Thunderbird Senior Living, formerly Thunderbird Retirement Resort in Glendale, Ariz. The move to improve the property, with rehabilitation of the interior and exterior of buildings and of the surrounding landscape, will provide seniors in the area with improved living options.
Freedom Senior Management will operate the facility and Plaza Cos will perform the comprehensive renovation of the campus, which will be completed in phases so as to cause the least amount of disruption as possible.
Details for the renovation and new plans for the campus will be unveiled at a later date but the planned property improvements will include both aesthetic and infrastructure changes. Orcutt Winslow will be the architect for the project and Dimora Design will perform the interior design work for the project.
Thunderbird Senior Living, an independent retirement community, was purchased by ROC Seniors (Orlando) in December 2014.
