Health Care REIT Inc. (Toledo, Ohio) has completed the acquisition of 11 seniors housing communities for approximately $257 million from Gracewell Healthcare (Watford, Hertfordshire, England).
The portfolio of seniors housing is concentrated in southern England and comprised of purpose-built, private-pay communities with 767 units.
Health Care REIT and Sunrise Senior Living (McLean, Va.) entered into a development agreement with Gracewell’s founders who will continue to be financed by Patron Capital (London), a pan-European institutional investor focused on property-backed investments.
