Cedar Community will celebrate the dedication of its new assisted living facility—the Cottages at Cedar Run in West Bend, Wis., on July 13.
The 60-unit facility is comprised of six, 10-unit households, fostering a homelike, residential feel for residents facing Alzheimer’s or related dementia.
Features of the new memory care facility include exteriors on each cottage to enhance familiarity, open-concept activity areas, European-style bathroom in each unit, extensive use of glass and skylights for natural light, limited corridors for easy wayfinding, and a naturally confining courtyard.
The architect is Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP.
