The first phase of Cumberland Trace (Plainfield, Ind.), a new senior living community from CarDon & Associates (Bloomington, Ind.) is slated to get underway in mid-June.

Phase I will include 36 one and two-bedroom assisted living apartment homes and skilled nursing accommodations for more than 100 individuals. Future phases will include apartment homes and cottages for independent living with comprehensive amenities and conveniences.

The community is designed to include five distinct, intimate neighborhoods, each with its own restaurant-style dining room, lounge, activity center and courtyard, with Wi-Fi throughout the community. There will also be easy access from each neighborhood to amenities including a community center, theater, library, beauty salon and barbershop, along with a fully equipped therapy gym and home transition center to help those who are receiving rehabilitation services prepare for a safe return to the home environment.

WS Property Group (Bloomington, Ind.) will partner with CarDon & Associates to build the community.
