Presbyterian Village North will expand its North Dallas campus to enhance the lives of current and future residents and members of the public. The Dallas City Council recently approved the senior living community’s master plan and the $93 million project will begin construction in June.

The Presbyterian Communities and Services community will add two independent living buildings, a lifestyle fitness center, a transitional care unit, and will expand its already existing assisted living building. The additional 350,000 square feet will allow the organization to fulfill the needs of an additional 200 seniors annually in Dallas.

The expansion will include 48 new and larger living units as part of the independent living building with an underground parking garage. Next to the Villas, residents will enjoy a lake with a park area including landscaping, walking trails, and a rose garden. The community's current assisted living building will add another 71 new apartments on three floors. The bottom two floors will consist of memory care apartments, with the top floor made up of assisted living apartments.

A new lifestyle fitness center will include an additional swimming pool, Jacuzzi spa, locker rooms, and an expansion of the group exercise area. The goal of this new building is to integrate the different aspects of wellness by creating a space that connects a physical and social experience with relaxation. The new transitional care unit will connect to the existing rehab unit. This addition will include 60 beds available to patients—the vast majority of whom are not residents—as transitional care between the hospital and home.
