Plans are under way for a new senior living facility near the Denton Regional Medical Center in Denton County, Texas.
The community will feature 75 assisted-living residences and 32 memory-care apartments. The development will have studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments will be designed for older adults who need some level of assistance but still want to have an active lifestyle according to Scott Wilson, founding partner and managing principal of SRP.
Features include a library, coffee bar, recreation rooms and outdoor spaces as well as several activities for residents. The facility will provide all meals and coordination of medical services in addition to the entertainment and community engagement opportunities, such as volunteer work.
The memory care apartments will be in a different section of the complex and have more specialized care and activities for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
