Construction has begun on Brightmore of South Charlotte, a $30 million senior living community owned by Liberty Healthcare (Wilmington, N.C.) and located in the Ballantyne-area of Charlotte, N.C.
The 230,000-square-foot retirement community will offer seniors a full continuum of lifestyle choices and a range of amenities, including various dining venues, a market, beauty salon, fitness center and pool. Brightmore of South Charlotte will feature rental options only and will not require an initial entry fee to become a resident.
The first phase will include the construction of the health and rehabilitation center, The Pavilion Health Center, then the independent living residences and The Terrace at Brightmore, its licensed assisted living and memory care center, will follow and are estimated to be completed in 2014.
The facility will accommodate 138 independent living, 16 assisted living and 14 memory care residents upon its completion.
Samet Corporation (Greensboro, NC) will provide construction services. The architect for the project is SFCS based in Roanoke, Va., and civil engineering services are being provided by Site Solutions out of Charlotte, N.C.
