Porters Neck Village, a senior living community in Wilmington, N.C., has started the second phase of a redevelopment project, according to wilmingtonbiz.com.
Phase two replaces some of the community’s original apartments with 67 new homes, a 27-unit apartment building, and five village flats. A courtyard community space, expanded green spaces, and walking trails are also being added.
The first phase of the project, completed in 2023, added 44 homes across four new buildings along with indoor and outdoor dining venues, a theater, arts and crafts room, and game room.
THW Design (Atlanta) is the architect for phase two of the project. Clancy & Theys Construction (Raleigh, N.C.) is serving as general contractor and Life Care Services Development (Des Moines, Iowa) as developer.
