Social services and public housing provider North East Community Action Corporation (Bowling Green, Mo.) opened Tannehill Senior Apartments in a former school in Moberly, Mo., according to kxeo.com.

The $22 million adaptive reuse project comprises 40 one- and two-bedroom affordable housing units.

The building previously was home to Moberly Junior High School, built in 1930 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, according to nonprofit organization Missouri Preservation.
