Cedar Lane Senior Living Community received $1.5 million in federal funding to move forward with plans for Evergreen, a new affordable senior housing development on its campus in Leonardtown, Md., according to a news release.
The project will add a new 70-unit building to Cedar Lane’s campus, which includes 195 existing studio, one-, and two-bedroom independent living units for seniors ages 62 and older.
Construction is slated to begin in 2027, and the community is expected to open in 2028.
