Pelican Valley Senior Living Begins $8.4M Renovation In Pelican Rapids, Minnesota

The modernization project will be completed in two phases and update the community’s skilled nursing center, residential units, amenities, and communal spaces.

Pelican Valley Senior Living in Pelican Rapids, Minn.) has started an $8.4 million renovation, according to a news release from Wold Architects & Engineers (Minneapolis), the designer on the project.

The Pelican Valley campus, which includes a Medicaid-certified skilled nursing center as well as assisted living and memory care communities, will undergo a two-phase modernization to update the skilled nursing center, residential units, amenities, and communal spaces.

Phase one of the project will renovate part of a former hospital wing to serve as temporary resident housing during construction. Phase two will rebuild 14 residential units with modern accommodations. including private bathrooms, and expand dining, therapy, chapel, and social areas.

Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2027.
