Development partners Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM; Southfield, Ill.) and Wallick Communities (New Albany, Ohio) marked the opening of Dr. Violet T. Lewis Village, an affordable senior living community in Detroit, according to the Michigan Chronicle.
The $29.3 million community sits on the original site of Lewis College of Business, Michigan’s only historically Black college or university, which was relocated.
The project comprises construction of a new 4-story building and restoration of two historic campus buildings to house 105 one- and two-bedroom residential units.
Amenities include a fitness area and community space.
