Construction is expected to begin in early 2026 on The Raymond, a new luxury senior living community in South Pasadena, Calif., according to a news release from KTGY (Irvine, Calif.), the architect and design firm on the project.
The project comprises three buildings connected by a subterranean parking garage and houses 156 independent living units, 50 affordable residential units, and 82 assisted living and memory care units.
For the design, the project team drew inspiration from The Raymond Hotel, a historic resort hotel first opened in 1886.
Amenities include a speakeasy-inspired gathering space tucked behind a hidden entrance, a resort-style pool deck, fine dining, rooftop terrace, and fitness and wellness center. Integrated outdoor terraces will feature citrus trees that pay homage to orange groves that once occupied the site.
The project team includes Greenbridge Investment Partners (developer; Beverly Hills, Calif.), architecture and interior design firm Stamps & Stamps (advisor; South Pasadena), Looney & Associates (lead interior designer; Honolulu), and LandStudio 360 (landscape designer; Tustin, Calif.).
