Memory care and assisted living community Home of the Good Shepherd (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) opened Memory Care Diner, a retro-inspired ice cream parlor, on its campus in Saratoga Springs, according to the Albany Times Union.

The project was designed by Empire Exhibits & Displays (Mechanicville, N.Y.), a design and fabrication company that specialized in custom displays and took about 18 months to complete.

Designed to support residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, the space features diner booths, checkered floors, a classic jukebox, and wall décor that includes vinyl records and photographs of vintage cars and musicians.
