Design firm Spellman Brady & Company has completed an interior renovation of The Touchmark at Coffee Creek Retirement Community in Edmond, Okla., part of a master-planned community just north of Oklahoma City. Spellman Brady remodeled 45,375 square feet of independent and assisted living interiors along with the procurement of the project’s furniture, accessories, and artwork.

Touchmark goals for the project were to update the common areas, as well as transform the basement into a fitness club. Spellman Brady reinvigorated the spaces using hospitality-influenced, transitional-style furniture and rich woods to complement the lush, colorful fabrics.

Warm lighting helps frame the spaces and highlight the art. Native American themes and patterns, as well as regional flora and fauna, were specifically selected along with some framed Native American artifacts, stained glass feathers encased in glass, and dip-dyed fiber art.

The renovation included the independent and assisted living common areas, administration offices, main lobby, and reception area along with two reimagined spaces for dining and socializing. The Grand Hall was redesigned to accommodate multipurpose activities like Wii games, invited speakers, and other gatherings.
