Real estate developer JBEC Development LLC (Orlando, Fla.) is planning the 74-acre Halifax Village, a senior living wellness community in Deltona, Fla., according to the website growthspotter.com.

The community will include a 422-unit resort-style independent living neighborhood comprising nine, four-story residential buildings. The units will feature one, two, and three-bedroom options with nine-foot ceilings, expansive window areas, covered balconies, and gourmet kitchens.

The residential buildings will be organized around a pool. A two-story, 15,000-square-foot amenity building will house a cafe, lounge, and educational areas. Outdoor amenities will include pools, social areas, cabanas, grills, fire pits, shuffleboard, pickleball, and a themed bar and grill.

The project also calls for an 80-unit independent living community comprising one-story buildings arranged in groups of four around a central courtyard. Each unit will comprise two bedrooms and two baths, a gourmet kitchen, walk-in showers, and two-car garages.

A medical services building is also planned, with a 150-bed assisted living community and a 100-bed memory care community.

Another key feature of Halifax Village will be a 35,000-square-foot wellness center with weight, aquatic and endurance training; mind-body spa and meditation; golf training; indoor rock climbing; and sports performance and recovery training.

Construction is slated to begin in second quarter 2024.
