MorningStar of Mission Viejo, a 166,000-square-foot resort-style senior living community, has opened in Mission Viejo, Calif.

Situated on 3 acres, the community houses 132 residential units, including a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom options. The project also comprises a fitness and wellness center, as well as 126 below-grade parking spaces.

The community’s 13,809 square feet of outdoor space includes a pool, dog run, resident garden, and al fresco dining.

Owner/operator MorningStar Senior Living (Denver), developer Confluent Senior Living (Denver), and investment firm Concord Development Partners (Scottsdale, Ariz.) partnered on the project.


The project team includes KTGY Architecture + Planning (architect; Los Angeles), Thoma-Holec Design (interior designer; Mesa, Ariz.), Snyder Langston (general contractor; Irvine, Calif.), and David Evans and Associates (civil engineer; Los Angeles).
