Enso Village continuing care retirement community is collaborating with San Francisco Zen Center (San Francisco) to open a 60+ community in Healdsburg, Calif.

Situated on 16 acres, the community will include 221 independent living units, 30 of which will be designated for affordable housing, and 54 assisted living and memory care beds, according to an article in The Healdsburg Tribune. Plans also include courtyards, a working garden, meditation room, indoor pool, fitness and wellness amenities, and multiple dining venues.

The 427,500 square-foot community will comprise multiple buildings that will feature simple lines, flat roofs, natural colors, rustic materials, and other features designed to reflect the area’s agrarian roots.

Construction is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2021.
